Here's a variation on the previous question put to this blog
Is it better for a person to be damned for the opportunities they've missed through indecision or ignorance?
-or-
Is it better to be damned for the opportunities they lose out on with the decisions they are making?
Today's question:
When you've had someone in your life that you care about and you've had years to let them know, but now only have eight weeks left in their community, should you keep your mouth shut and enjoy the friendship for what it is, or speak up and confess your deeper feelings, knowing you will be on your way in two months?

What, do you never watch romantic comedies? The answer to this question may be found in every romantic comedy. You know what you must do.
Unless you are in real life, of course, in which case the consequences could be a drag.
They most likely wouldn't be disastrous, but they could be embarrassing.
Since I prefer lately to live in real life, my course is clear. Everything else considered, I'm shy, but I have no shame.
I'm sure there will be more to come.
SPEAK - or forever hold your peace. And that will be a long time with doubts and fears and justifications. Enough to make the rest of your life miserable.
Shy is not a bad thing, but even shy people can and do speak when it is essential.
Good luck and let us hear. In fact, if you'd like help...I'm here.
